It is the most visited site of the region , located in the high atlas 93 miles (150 km) northeast of Marrakesh it is the highest waterfalls in north africa reaching 360 feet (110 meters) ,Ouzoud means "the act of grinding grain" in Berber .

This seems to be confirmed by the frequent mills in the region the site is surrounded by thousands of olive trees .

The excursion
departure early morning from marrakech , during this trip we will cross several Berber villages and Green fields of cereals and olive trees , which constitute and attractive landscape , one arriving you will have 3 hours walking trek around the waterfalls the admire the beauty of the different colours mountains around and take pictures of the wild and rare atlas monkeys which is on the way to extinct , after lunch , returning back to marrakech .
